The tuning experts at Hennessey Performance Engineering transformed the muscle car into an absolute beast, increasing power output to 1,012 hp.
The 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody is a truly desirable muscle car thanks to its high levels of power. Hennessey Performance Engineering can make any Hellcat-powered dodges vehicle more desirable with its HPE1000 upgrade.
In their latest YouTube video, Hennessey allowed its viewers to experience the roaring soundtrack of a newly upgraded HPE1000 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.
Hellcat Upgrade From 797-HP To 1,012-HP
Hennessey has just completed the upgrade of this 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody with its HPE1000 supercharger package. Finished in white, this HPE1000 Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody benefits from an upgraded supercharger system and upgraded pulley, along with the installation of stainless-steel long tube headers and high-flow catalytic converters.
The tuning company completed the HPE1000 transformation of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody by upgrading the high-flow fuel injectors and HPE calibration. They also installed a high-flow air induction system and a crankcase ventilation system. The finished product should be able to deliver around 1,012 hp of max output at 6,500 rpm and 969 lb-ft of peak torque at 4,200 rpm.
According to Hennessey, the HPE1000 upgrade should allow the Hellcat-powered vehicle to sprint from zero to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and reach a quarter-mile in just 9.9 seconds at speeds of around 141 mph.
Wild Power And Sound On The Move
To validate the intended results of the HPE1000 upgrade on the project muscle car, Hennessey subjects the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody to a chassis dyno test and up to 400 miles of road testing. The Sealy, Texas-based company did the road tests at the Pennzoil Proving Ground. The video uploaded on YouTube showed the final test for the white yet muscular Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody.
The mesmerizing power delivery and quickness of the newly upgraded Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody was apparent in the video. But adding to the visceral experience is the roaring sound of the upgraded power unit. Every time the driver puts pressure on the gas pedal, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody responds accordingly with brawny power and sound.
Full HPE1000 Power Still Needs Red Key
Interestingly, the video shows the driver still needs the red key to unleash all 1,012 hp of output. Each Hellcat vehicle comes with two keys: the black key limits the power enough for road use, while the red one allows the Hellcat to go full power. The same setup still holds true in a Hennessey-upgraded Hellcat.
