Kourtney follows a vegan diet most of the time

Speaking about why she wanted to participate in the campaign, Kourtney revealed that she isn’t “fully vegan” but keeps to a “mostly plant-based diet”.

As reported by Harpers Bazaar, she said: “I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for the past 13 years, which has made me super conscious of what I put into my body and my kids’ bodies.”

“I’m not fully vegan, but Travis has helped me to keep a mostly plant-based diet, which is so much easier with Daring,” she continued.

“I honestly cannot believe how much it tastes like chicken. There are a lot of plant proteins out there, but we’re always looking for options that are super clean with all-natural ingredients.”

Her husband Travis Barker has been vegan for 33 years and hasn’t eaten meat since he was 13 years old, so the partnership with Daring “felt so right” for him.

“Daring is awesome, because it’s super clean and has all-natural ingredients. When I went fully vegan 15 years ago, the options were basically straight vegetables, so I’m excited to see more plant-based choices on menus,” he said.

What the Kardashian eats on a vegan day

A post on her website Poosh reveals that Kourtney is “95% vegan” and has been “easing into” a plant based diet.

“Kourt admits when she first started, she couldn’t resist and had a baked crab handroll while at dinner during the first few weeks,” it says before saying it’s all about “balance” and slowly “incorporating changes”.

The Poosh story explains exactly what the 43-year-old eats on a normal vegan day and the menu looks really appetising.

For breakfast, she either has an avocado shake, banana smoothie, cinnamon toast, a blueberry bagel smothered with peanut butter and jelly, an açai bowl or vegan chicken and waffles on a cheat day.

Her usual lunch options are noodles, sourdough bread with vegan butter and pickles and a typical dinner could be plant-based tacos or vegan sushi at Nobu.

Kourtney’s snacks of choice are pickles, tangerines and Midnight bars.

She’s always lived a healthy lifestyle

Whilst she may have only just made the move to a vegan lifestyle, Kourtney has always been hot on healthy eating.

totally Keeping up with the Kardashianswe always saw the oldest sister talking about her love for eating organic foods, and she often cut out things like gluten, sugar and dairy from her diet.

Kourtney often follows a keto diet, favors naturally sourced ingredients and takes supplements like collagen powder and apple cider vinegar.

She has always been passionate about ensuring her kids follow a healthy lifestyle too, and a famous KUWTK moment sees her arguing with Kim over having sugary treats at their children’s joint birthday party.

However, she does have cheat days too and once wrote in Poosh: “I cheat twice a day with a little something sweet after lunch and dinner. But when I did the keto diet, I was very strict six days a week and my cheat day was on Sundays.”

She’d go to the farmers market on a Sunday morning and get a chocolate croissant before heading to Soho House for their all-you-can-eat waffles with butter and syrup buffet.

“Indulging every once in a while is self-care. Whether you follow a strict diet or not, we all deserve days off. No guilt and no boundaries,” the star added.
