A landscaper was shot after a rock hit a vehicle in Oklahoma City.

On Monday, a man was sent to the hospital after the incident.

Percy Young and his brother were landscaping when one of their weed eaters spit out a rock and hit a car. Instead of taking an insurance card, the angry driver pulled out a gun.

“I would’ve had him taken care of. My insurance is for $100,000, but I guess he wanted it in cash right there,” Young said.

Young said the infuriated driver got out of his car, crossed the street and threatened the young landscapers.

“He said, ‘a rock hit my car.’ I tried to tell him I have insurance. He said, ‘no, you’re going to pay for it right now,'” Young said.

That’s when Young said the driver flashed his gun.

“I just put my hands up and said, ‘I’m not going to deal with this. He put a gun in my back. I slam him down, wrestling to get the gun out of his hand and my brother saw and jumps on him trying to get the gun,” Young said.

Young’s younger brother, Messiah, was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the chest 2 inches from his heart.

“I had him in a headlock, and I just hear my brother crying for help and I just asked the dude. ‘Hey, if I let you up will you please leave?'” Young said.

Young said the driver ran to his car and sped off and police were on the scene 3 minutes later.

“I just want to know if it was worth it. Was a rock in the car really worth a gunfight or trying to shoot us? I don’t know what to say man, I don’t know what to say. Would he want that done to one of his family members?” Young said.

Young said his brother is in the ICU at OU Med for surgery soon. He is worried about paying for his brother’s hospital bills, so he started a GoFundMe that can be found here.
