Former Married At First Sight star Jo McPharlin famously lost 20kg over two years ago.
And the single mum turned heads as she showed off her trim figure at an event earlier this month.
In fact, the 44-year-old has looked sensational at various engagements across Adelaide over the last few months.

She recently stunned in a sparkling strapless red gown with a plunging neckline at a bridal expo.
‘I feel so blessed to be able to dress up like a princess,’ she gushed.
Before that, Jo looked trim in a flattering floral summer dress while celebrating her son’s 18th birthday.
After she first lost weight, Jo was forced to deny undergoing weight loss surgery after being body-shamed and labeled ‘too skinny’ by Internet trolls.

She said her weight loss was due to cutting out junk food and alcohol, keeping active, and using an electromagnetic muscle stimulation device.
Jo, who rose to fame on MAFS in 2018, admitted she had been reluctant to detail her weight loss because of her lack of health and fitness qualifications.
‘I am just a mum to two beautiful children. What works for me may not work for you. I have been dedicated, strict and everything mentally I wanted to be,’ she said.

Remember this? The single mum had a far more unhealthy lifestyle during her time on Married At First Sight back in 2018 (pictured)
‘That’s how I’m achieving my goals. No surgery, no major story to it. It’s been bloody hard work, mentally and emotionally. Every single day I want certain food, but I look at my two beautiful children and I want a better quality of life for everybody.
‘I’ve stopped junk food, all of my carbs and the majority of alcohol. It’s a lifestyle change. I’ve been blessed with losing weight, but maintaining it is the hard part.
‘Everyone keeps saying, “Stop losing weight! Stop losing weight.” I haven’t lost weight in probably four months now. What I am doing is toning up,’ she said in 2020.
She added that the ketogenic diet had helped her shift 20kg and reach her goal weight last year, but she didn’t promote this at the time because she’s not a dietitian.

The concept behind the ‘keto diet’ is to put one’s body in a metabolic state of ketosis, which raises the ketone levels in the blood and causes the body to burn fat, not carbohydrates.
Back in 2019, Jo said that cutting out energy drinks and junk food was a major factor behind her weight loss.
‘All I’ve done different is meal plan,’ she explained. ‘I’ve stopped the junk food, I’ve stopped the soft drinks,’ she said.

‘I basically just drink water. I haven’t really gone out that much to have the odd beer or two that I like either.’
Jo, who went from a size 22 to a size 8, has said that her health was a huge motivator to get fit and healthy.
‘After seeing my own mum being sick, I just didn’t want that for myself, and I wanted to make sure that I was around for my own kids, that I could run around with them and be the best mum to them that I could be,’ she said.
‘You know, it’s all about just making sure that I’m eating food that is good and healthy, it’s not about the weight for me, it really isn’t. It’s about making sure that I have the energy and the health to stick around and be as happy as I can be.’
