This Viper V10-Powered Ram SRT-10 Night Runner Is Currently Up For Grabs!

With a top speed of just over 150 mph and the biggest engine in a performance pickup, the Ram SRT-10 was the “baddest” pickup on the planet in the mid-2000s. Offered for three model years, the Ram SRT-10 became an instant classic for the performance pickup genre.

Powered by the GEN III 8.3-liter (505 cubic-inch) Viper V10 from the Dodge Viper, the Ram SRT-10 produced 500 horsepower (373 kW) @ 5,600 rpm and 525 lb.-ft. (712 N⋅m) of torque @ 4,200 rpm. With a top speed of 154 mph (248 km/h) and 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) time of 4.9 seconds, the 5,130 lb (2,327 kg) pickup could complete the 1/4-mile in 13.6-seconds @ 106 mph (171 km/h) if you could run through the gears of the 6-speed Tremec T-56 manual, almost enough. Numbers that are still impressive today.

This particular Ram SRT-10 is currently being featured on the popular automotive auction site, Bring A Trailer. Being a 2006 model, this particular truck was equipped with the “Night Runner” appearance package which added features like Brilliant Black exterior paint, 22-inch wheels with a Dark Nickel Pearl finish, Black Chrome grille inserts, bedside “Night Runner” decals, Black center stack and console bezel overlay, dark bezel headlamps, and a serialized dash plaque.

Dodge announced that they would produce 400 units of the Night Runner package for the Ram SRT-10, however, only 370 units were officially produced. That included 119 Regular Cab and 251 Quad Cab models for the year. This truck is #159 according to the dash plaque.

The current owner purchased the truck new from Kaiser Brothers of Muncy, Pennsylvania. It is outfitted with a fiberglass tonneau cover with a rear spoiler, a stainless B&B cat-back exhaust, a Green Performance air filter, and a handheld HP tuner.

On the inside, there are a pair of Gray leather sport seats with Dark Gray Alcantara inserts, a factory Hurst shifter, a factory CD player with navigation, an Infinity sound system, AutoMeter A-pillar mounted oil temp gauge, and push-button start .

With only 3,300 miles on the odometer, this is one of the better examples of the Ram SRT-10 still out there. There are a few cosmetic flaws on the truck, which are pointed out by the owner in the classified ad.

The truck is being sold with its original window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, two keys, and features a clean title and Carfax report. According to the window sticker, the truck had a price of $51,520 when it left the dealer showroom.
